Uncle Quigley

Uncle Quigley is an original character created for the animated series. He is voiced by Jay Brazeau.

History[]

He is Sabrina's maternal great-uncle, and the household's adult guardian. Because he doesn't have any magic powers, he understands that his sister Diana, who is Sabrina's mother, is a mortal. Unlike in the original series, he is similar to Zelda Spellman where he is the head of the household and strict disciplinarian to Sabrina, Hilda and Zelda. Mostly he usually punishes them when they use their magic or come up with a scheme. He is sometimes even unreasonable like Zelda in the original series. In Sabrina's Secret Life, it is unknown what happened to him as he is no longer the guardian; however, Issue 35 of the 2000's comics explained his absence: he had inherited a castle in Ireland (which was haunted by the ghost of his ancestor) and decided to live there due to becoming smitten with Brendan's sister (who is a gardener). He was also briefly mentioned in Issue 38, when the girls discuss their photo shoot being a present for him before becoming their grown-up selves again.

For his job, Quigley is a scientist who works at a lab at the Greendale Observatory on a project attempting to find and make contact with extraterrestrial lifeforms.
